Which is actually inaccurate.
Because the person waiting under that moon, waiting for that someone will be utterly and drastically influenced by social perceptions. Which will automatically lead for that person to miss that special someone even if he/she has red flashing arrows above the head.
Why?
Simply because that special someone is not acceptable by the Society: too poor (how will that someone take care of me if no money?), too rich (don’t want to look like a greedy person), too fat, too thin, too smart, too stupid, too feminine, too manly, too religious, not religious enough, and so on, and so on.
So it should be “There’s got to be someone for me who will be acceptable for the Society I live in, friends and family. Someone to love.”
That’s where we all are now.
